The 5 trade hubs at a glance
EVE Online has no global market database — each region has its own market. The five largest trade centers form the price reference for New Eden:
- Jita IV-4 (The Forge) — By far the largest market, ~80% of total trade volume
- Amarr (Domain) — Second largest, often better prices on modules and ships
- Dodixie (Sinq Laison) — Gallente hub, niche for certain items
- Rens (Heimatar) — Minmatar hub, smaller but active
- Hek (Metropolis) — Smallest of the five, occasional bargains
Price comparison: Minerals
Minerals are the foundation of almost every industry activity. A typical snapshot (Sell prices, April 2026):
| Material | Jita Sell | Amarr Sell | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tritanium | 4.92 ISK | 5.15 ISK | +4.7% |
| Pyerite | 9.80 ISK | 10.25 ISK | +4.6% |
| Mexallon | 55 ISK | 58 ISK | +5.5% |
| Isogen | 132 ISK | 140 ISK | +6.1% |
| Zydrine | 1,105 ISK | 1,180 ISK | +6.8% |
| Megacyte | 3,250 ISK | 3,470 ISK | +6.8% |
| Morphite | 14,200 ISK | 14,850 ISK | +4.6% |
The pattern is clear: Jita is almost always cheaper for minerals. The price difference is usually 4-7%. Reason: competition among traders is extreme in Jita, spreads (bid-ask difference) are minimal.
When is Amarr worth it?
Despite mineral prices, Amarr isn't automatically more expensive. For certain item categories Amarr is cheaper than Jita:
- Amarr ships (Harbinger, Abaddon, Punisher line) — 2-5% below Jita
- Laser weapons and crystals — Often better supply in Amarr
- T2 components for Amarr fits — Regional focus affects prices
- Certain PI products — Depends on local production
For industrialists: Minerals and generic components → Jita. Faction modules and regional specialties → always check.
Consider liquidity and volume
A low price in Hek is useless if only 100 units are available — and you need 50,000. For large quantities Jita is almost always the only choice because that's where the volume is.
For small quantities (rigs, modules for individual fits) another hub can be cheaper. Compare hub prices before traveling to Jita.
Conclusion
For minerals and bulk: always Jita. For regional items and small quantities: use the hub comparison and switch to Amarr, Dodixie or Rens as needed. The price difference quickly pays for the extra travel time.
